Experiment #3: Favorite Things
The "Favorite Things" project was the last of three site-specific experiments in the Art Center library attempting interventions in public space. The experiments were in "people-knowing"--how to engage people, how to grab their attention, and to illicit interaction from individuals going about their daily lives.
The project was created out of simple pink construction paper. People coming to the library were asked to perform a simple task: "Mark your favorite book, person, movie, computer, THING(s), in the library!"
This project served to iterate on the first two attention-stealing experiments, the "NO" project, and the "Why are you here?" project.
